CONVERSATION FOLLOW UP TEMPLATE
John,
Good to see you last night. Per our conversation, I wanted to introduce you to Jonathan Berlin with the Farmers Insurance Open. As we discussed, the Tournament is being utilized to great success by countless local, regional, and national companies to further their business objectives. If you can find a few minutes on your calendar to share a bit about your business model, he can help determine if and where some synergies might exist.
“LUKEWARM” INTRO TEMPLATE
John,
As you know, I am a member of the Century Club of San Diego, an Organization whose main purpose is to host the Farmers Insurance Open. Held each year in late January / early February at Torrey Pines Golf Course, the Tournament is the first quarter event here in San Diego, and a phenomenal hosting opportunity for businesses like ours. Given the magnitude of the Tournament to this town, many of San Diego’s best companies and firms are involved and I wanted to make sure you have an opportunity to join that list.
By way of this email, I want to introduce you to Jonathan Berlin, a member of the Century Club staff. Jonathan is better equipped to listen to potential partners, understand their needs and objectives, and present opportunities to get involved in a meaningful way. Whether advertising, client entertainment, or other business development opportunities, the Farmers Insurance Open offers a unique way to grow your business. I appreciate you taking the time.
COLD INTRO TEMPLATE
John,
Hope you had a great weekend! I wanted to reach out because as you may know, I recently joined the Century Club of San Diego, whose main purpose is to host the Farmers Insurance Open. Absent a SuperBowl in town, it’s the largest sporting event on an annual basis in San Diego. Beyond just being a major event for our city, it brings in over $30 million for our local economy and all net proceeds go to local charities. This past year alone the Tournament gave back over $2.7 million to worthwhile beneficiaries working with at-risk youth. One of the other key elements is that the Tournament is the only big thing that goes on in town during the first quarter. Whether a company is looking at advertising, client entertainment, prospecting, employee morale or other key objectives, this event provides the perfect vehicle. Given the profile and importance of the Tournament to this town, many of San Diego’s best companies and firms are involved and I want to make sure you have an opportunity to join that list.
By way of this e-mail I want to introduce you to Jonathan Berlin. He is one of the full time staff members with the Century Club and his role is to listen to our potential partners, understand their needs and objectives, then present them opportunities to get involved with the event aimed at delivering impactful results. If you can carve out 10 minutes for him I promise it will be time well spent. I appreciate your consideration and hopefully we can find a way for you to be a part of this great civic event.
